Silver Trusty Servant Spoons

A pair of sterling silver “trusty servant” spoons in original case. A lovely pair of antique dessert spoons each with the mythical creature hircocervus to the handle tips. Each spoon is fully hallmarked for Chester assay c1935 and made by Frederick James Ross. Measures 155mm long with spoon bowls measuring 47mm long, 38mm wide and 8mm deep. Comes in original fitted case which is also stamped E. J. Ross & Sons.

Just before the tip of the handle there is am elaborate piece of pierced silver a little like a fob on a watch chain which acts as a stabiliser for the hook back. The handle tip has a figure of what appears to be a schoolboy with satchel although could also be a postman perhaps. A lovely item for any silver collection and a lovely gift piece.
