Silver serenity ring, Georg Jensen. An aesthetically wonderful sterling silver ring designed by Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe for Georg Jensen. Often known as simply Torun, she was one of Sweden's most important 20th century silversmiths and jeweller. This ring has a large fluid silver plate front giving a sense of water flowing. Very elegant set in white with gold roses and trim c1950s. All pieces are in excellent condition with a lovely ringing sound when pinged, no chips, cracks or crazing. Minor gilt wear around jug spout and rim of both tea cups. The pot measures 98mm in diameter at base, 210mm at longest across spout & handle, 145mm at widest and 220mm tall with lid. Sugar bowl measures 55mm in diameter at base, 95mm across top and 53mm tall. Jug measures 55mm in diameter at base, 112mm long at spout and handle, 85mm wide and 112mm at tallest (handle). Cups measure 43mm at base, 96mm across top, 108mm long to handle and 58mm high. Saucers measure 145mm in diameter and 18mm high. -

Victorian brooch in carved jet and bone. A substantial sized brooch of beautifully carved Whitby jet with an intricately carved bone detail of a stag applied to the centre. The stag is central to a frame of flora with a tree to the background. This is craftsmanship of the highest order and remains in excellent condition. Believed to be from the Grand Period of the Victorian era c1861-1880. Tube hinge and c clasp fastening with extended pin. -
