The Victorian jet and bone brooch showcases a carving in Whitby jet with a stag in bone at its centre. This high-quality statement piece originates from the Victorian era, specifically from 1861 to 1880.
Jet was commonly used in jewellery from this period, particularly in “mourning jewellery,” which gained popularity due to Queen Victoria’s decision to wear black attire for the remainder of her life.
To care for the Victorian Jet & bone brooch, we suggest carefully polishing it with a lint-free cloth to remove dust or dirt.
