



Reproduction Silver Commemorative Medal
A modern reproduction of a sterling silver medal issued by G. Bowers commemorating the recovery of silver from a Spanish wreck in the West Indies in 1687. The obverse features the conjoined busts of James II and Mary while the reverse shows men in rowing boats on an open sea recovering treasure. This is a reproduction of that medal which was produced in 1971. Hallmarked to bottom edge for London assay by Ernest Popjoy Ltd. Measures 55mm in diameter and 5mm deep. Weight 105 grams.
