Victorian Silver Gilt Ice Bucket c1885 London

£420.00

A Victorian silver gilt ice bucket with frosted glass barrel. It is hallmarked for 1885 London and made by George Fox. There is a slight loss of gilt from the inside rim and a slight indentation in the silver just above the base (please see last photo). A minor repair has been made to stick some of the silver gilt to the glass and a nut based glue has been used. We therefore recommend this item not be used for nut allergy sufferers. The barrel of the ice bucket is 90 mms high, 112mms in diameter across the top and the handle is 12mms at its widest width.
