Victorian silver canoe earrings. Very unusual pair of canoe earrings with oar across the top of canoe. One canoe is silver coloured whilst other has slight golden hue and maybe gilded to distinguish 2 sides (Oxford V Cambridge perhaps?) Antique design registration kitemark to the back of each canoe c1880. (This year being significant in that it is the only time in the history of the boat race that it was postponed for 2 days due to thick fog) Drop length approximately 45mm with canoe measuring approximately 30mm. Earrings weight 2.8gms. Box included.

The Victorian silver canoe earrings are a unique and quirky piece of vintage jewellery that is still totally wearable today. The earrings feature canoes with an oar sitting on the top and on the reverse, a kite mark dating them to the year 1880.
