  • Art Deco timepiece set in alabaster. 1930s 8 day timepiece set in an alabaster case with brass fixtures by Garrard. Keeps good time. Wind fully once a week. Fully serviced. Some wear to the alabaster which is consistent with age. Weight 1185 grams. Recommend for collection from shop. Close up photo around the clock face. The hour hand has a looped end while the minutes hand is regular straight line tapering to a point. Looks a little like a tadpole. The clock face is covered with round glass with brass studs at the 4 corners to hold in place. The glass gives the alabaster a paler colouring to the rest. The enamel decoration is of a beautiful blooming lotus flower with a water fowl in the background. There are some signs of enamel wear especially around the sides of the box. There is also a dint in the top left corner of lid by the lotus flower with some missing enamel and some small cracks in the enamel water to the right.
