  • Late Victorian pill box. Small sweet sterling silver pill box by silversmiths Horton and Allday of Birmingham c1900. Lovely scrollwork design to the main body with a plain silver top which could be personalised if required. Gilt silver interior. Full hallmark in the scrollwork at base and short hallmark to inside rim. Measures 33mm in diameter. Photo of box shown with lid open and angled so that the short hallmark is visible to the inside rim of the lid. The gilt silver on the inside is visible. Late Victorian pill box. The generously sized pendant has a stag beetle focus to the centre with cabochons of lapis lazuli to accentuate the design. Art Nouveau style with an Egyptian twist. Pendant measures 70mm at widest with a drop length of 85mm. The entire contents of the French factory that made these core base designs were purchased by Lelong Designs which are then made into these lovely pieces of jewellery through gold or silver plating.
