Ceramic Sparrow On Can

A sparrow on a tin can ceramic studio art. A wonderfully realistic piece of studio pottery in this ceramic ornament of a sparrow sat on top of a discarded aluminium tin can with lid open. It is so realistic you expect to feel metal when touched. The sparrow looks as if it has had some close calls to his tail. There is an unidentifiable makes mark to the base as well as a not quite legible signature to the side of the stone base. Measures 145mm at longest, 90mm at widest and 140mm at tallest.

Main photo of ceramic sparrow on tin showing the sparrow looking up to the top left corner with tail behind just right of centre top. The tine can is facing to the bottom right. This piece of studio art is incredible. The bird looks as though it would be warm and soft if touched, the tin can looks like it would be cold and hard and the rocks smooth and cool. Even the sparrows eye looks as though it will move any moment. Incredibly realistic fabulous piece!

Main photo of Victorian brass vesta box seen with top closed and the box frontage facing very slightly off to the left. The box is basically shaped like a trunk and is of good solid quality. The feet are chevron shaped although this is only visible from the base and protrude a little from the box base. The box is displayed in front of a rock of natural desert sand rose which is partially reflected in the box lid.
