Rhead Deco Sandwich Set
Art Deco sandwich set by Charlotte Rhead. A pretty and practical set comprising of a serving tray with 2 shallow dish shaped plates with a central handle. 6 small square side plates in the same colour & pattern store here when not in use. Hand-painted in cheerful bright vibrant colours to cheer up any occasion. Design number 4133 ‘New Jazz’ pattern c1928-1929. Each piece marked with the green Burleigh ware stamp with Rhead signature on the base of the serving plate. Visible crazing to each piece and some wear around the edge, especially around serving plate. Each small plate measure 145mm square and the serving plate/tray measures 330mm long,150mm wide and approximately 50mm tall by handle.

The Charlotte Rhead Art Deco sandwich set dates from 1928-29 and manufactured in the Burleigh factory. The set includes a tray with a central handle and six side plates in the bright and vivid pattern ‘New Jazz’. Each piece bears the signature of Charlotte Rhead. This collectable set is ready to use perhaps for a special occasion and would display well in a cabinet. To care for the Charlotte Rhead Art Deco sandwich set we suggest washing it in soapy water and drying thoroughly.
