Words cannot describe the beauty of this piece which spans all tastes like no other! The egret is posed in a perched position with head slightly up along with its long slender beak. The beak is the jugs spout pointed at the tip for precision pouring if brace enough to risk use. The handle is not unlike the handle of an old hob kettle and sits in perfect alignment to the beak. The whole bird is in blue speckled glaze except for the base and part of the underside of handle. There is a piece of lapis lazuli stone in the background which resembles the same colour as the birds blue specks0

In between the pearls are 3 rows with 2 horizontal oval moonstones at top followed by 3 turquoise stones-the 2 outer stones are square and centre one is round and finally a last row of more moonstones - 2 horizontal oval at ends and round in centre. The whole ensemble is fixed with 2 chains at either end which tapers to one. There is something very magical about this necklace as if it was made for the Empress of the Sea or Moon Goddess.
