Antique Silver Saccharine Tube

Sterling silver container tube for storing saccharine. An interesting item dating from 1901 which is the year Monsanto was founded to produce saccharine in America. This piece is fully hallmarked for Chester assay c1901. The makers initials are difficult to decipher but most probably Rosen & Alexander. Can be used to store any number of things from a small pencil, cigar or an emergency stash of cash amongst others. Measures approximately 8mm in diameter on the inside with drop length of 90mm. Weight 20grams.

Am oval iolite cabochon with a small round cut diamond to the centre is first followed below it by a larger round cut diamond divider. The iolite is a beautiful darker blue with tinges of purple in certain light.

A second curve up the stem ends with a single rose open but not fully.
