A sterling silver vesta case from the reign of Edward VII. Engine turned with intricate scrollwork design and an empty shield shaped cartouche. Tight closing with good spring action closure. Full hallmark to inside rim and short hallmark inside the lid for Birmingham assay c1903 by William J Holmes. Measures 35mm wide, 15mm deep and 44mm tall. Weight 24 grams.
