The cherries and their leaves and stems have been so realistically painted and look so lifelike there is a danger of wanting to eat them. The cherries are mainly an orange-red with a small yellow area at the top by their stem ends. The stems are a light leaf green, joined at the top by a short light brown stalk. In between each stem is a cherry leaf painted in 3 shades of green and showing the veins. A brass band hugs the 3 cherries in the middle with a small brass flower at the front opening section. The garden has several species of flora. The image is so elaborate and fine that it could be hung on the wall like a painting with the metal rim acting as a frame.
