There are a total of 11 cranes, 1 being a colt (baby crane). 10 of the 11 birds are in the water with one on the far right flying into land. The background is mostly golden with the lake a light ink blue with flow lines giving the water movement. The cranes are mixed in colour from the all white to white headed with brown body and of course the little colt which is mostly brown still. All except the colt have a red spot on the heads. These are lined in red with a red flick at the centre. The bright light leaf green neck has a few minor floral decorations and the rim of the vase has downward facing triangles mirroring the triangles at waist. The dome stand is not included.
