Royal Doulton

From humble beginnings in London in 1815, Royal Doulton is a name synonymous with quality. Originally specialising in stoneware such as bottles and salt glazed sewer pipes, they soon became established as makers of fancies (toby jugs, tobacco jars etc), figures and vases. Today, they mainly produce tableware and figures along with other home accessories. There are some lovely vases and figures in store and a few online with more to come! There is always something for everyone.

The base colour of the vase is a rich deep blue, not dark but with depth. The base rim and inside rim of mouth is a mustard yellow glaze. The hexagonal shape tapers at the base with cathedral window like forms rising up from the base rim pointed at the top. Here, we have a stunning floral pattern almost like stained glass mostly in blues and green with a pale pink section just above the large 'stained glass' flower. The outer rim of the vase is the rich deep blue again with small half flowers evenly spaced out and each hexagon edge. Really a very stunning and unusual design piece. Add to basket
