The engraved decoration on this side shows 2 birds perched on a branch of cherry in blossom. The bird in the background is looking up at a butterfly on the front of the lid and the other is looking towards the left. Very detailed fine engraving to birds, flora and butterfly. These scent bottles were most likely used by ladies or even gentlemen when travelling. It is nice and compact with the original glass stopper inside which closed tightly and the lid of course with good closure. Add to basket

The lower part is possibly foliage but with no definite pattern. From a distance, there is an owl like look. The photo display area is a longish thin oval and there is a picture of a thoughtful looking young lady with eyes downward and wearing a slight smile. Main photo of George III snuffer tray displayed horizontally upright to show the shape of the tray which is an elongated oval with turned up or raised border. It is almost an eye or almond shape. The crest at the centre is visible which is a ribbon with what looks like a hunters horn of a stand (could be an old hearing aid horn!) Not a lot of use for snuffer trays these days but this could be utilised as an stick incense burner stand as it is long enough.
