She is sitting in seiza position (on her knees with buttocks on heels) Her kimono is very colourful and not traditional Japanese pale green and white striped under kimono covered with a yellow kimono with red white and blue flowers and green foliage and pale pink outer areas (collar, sleeves etc) Her obi(belt sash) has vertical green cerise and white stripes at the top and a short area beneath with horizontal lines in same colours. She is a right handed player so the shamisen neck is held in her left hand with the body to the right and her right hand holding the bachi (large plectrum) Add to basket
