Main photo of Egyptian scarab beetle bead seen leaning against a twig of natural cherry tree with the back or top of the beetle on display. The beetle is naturally the colour of sandstone which in this instance is a dark beige. Although the carvings are minimal on the top, it is very distinctly a scarab beetle at first glance.

Main photo of upcycled Medieval fragment ring displayed on top of a slice of natural agate with the ring front facing forward. The crescent moon is set across the top of the circular bronze centre with the star underneath it. The bronze fragment extends on either side to make the shoulders. These areas have some embossed detail of possibly vines. The band is in solid sterling silver and the plainness of it compliments the Medieval bronze fragment perfectly.

Main photo of upcycled floral Medieval ring displayed on top of a slice of agate with the ring front facing forward. The Medieval fragment has a rectangular section which forms the ring front with 2 stylised floral images engraved in the centre. These could even be bramble or mushrooms. Lines have been scored around the rectangle edge. A short alloy section makes part of one shoulder and a longer strip of alloy extends all the way round to the back of the ring. These strips are set within the chunky silver band and have no decoration just plain gilt coloured metal. How wonderful to be able to wear an archaeological find on your finger!
