French Repousse Jewellery Casket
A late 19th century French repousse silver plated copper jewellery casket with scenes from Jean de la Fontaine’s fables. Blue silk interior has a little wear proportionate with age. Goats head mark to inside corner of lid probably AB-Paris. Measures 85mm at longest, 78mm at widest and 72mm tall. Weight 356 grams.

The French repousse jewellery casket features decorative and tactile scenes from Fontaine’s fables. The delightful box has a blue silk interior with signs of wear but is intact. The box would be useful for storing small items of jewellery and would be a perfect gift for a vintage box collector.
