Main photo looking at the box from a slight height and looking diagonally downward at design on the lid. At the centre, is a male to the left with female in period clothing. The man is holding the ladies hand with one hand and in the other he has his hat. He is wearing boots, a long coat and also has a sword in his belt. Perhaps a sailor? The lady is in a long dress and holding a rather large fan which obscures the upper part of her body. Her hair is tied up in a bun and she appears a little coy at being courted. Very sweet scene with a lot of scrollwork around the. Add to basket

Main photo of Neo classical style plates displayed upright and side by side on a white plate stand. On the left a group of 4 women either preparing to or having just bathed in the nearby river and on the other, 2 ladies playing with a baby. Both plates have a gilt outer rim followed by a cream coloured section with classical gilt design. The images are in a variety of colours with natural skin tones and rural scenes and colours of the clothing are bright like raunchy red or passionate pink. Both scenes from a period long ago yet somehow very nostalgia inducing. Add to basket

Main photo of c1888 silver scent bottle seen from an eye level with the opening front side in the foreground. The engraved decoration on this side shows 2 birds perched on a branch of cherry in blossom. The bird in the background is looking up at a butterfly on the front of the lid and the other is looking towards the left. Very detailed fine engraving to birds, flora and butterfly. These scent bottles were most likely used by ladies or even gentlemen when travelling. It is nice and compact with the original glass stopper inside which closed tightly and the lid of course with good closure. Add to basket
