Gold Tipped Cigarette Holder
An antique 9 karat rose gold tipped Bakelite cigarette or cheroot holder. Bakelite was first introduced shortly after its development in 1907 so this is possibly one of the earliest. Hallmarked for London assay c1910. Measures 167mm long with 8mm wide slot for the cigarette/cheroot. Small dark brown patch on the Bakelite by the rim which appears as part of the manufacturing process.
