The Medieval fragment has a rectangular section which forms the ring front with 2 stylised floral images engraved in the centre. These could even be bramble or mushrooms. Lines have been scored around the rectangle edge. A short alloy section makes part of one shoulder and a longer strip of alloy extends all the way round to the back of the ring. These strips are set within the chunky silver band and have no decoration just plain gilt coloured metal. How wonderful to be able to wear an archaeological find on your finger!

The comb front is forward facing This antique item has stood the test of time however, it is very fine silver and quite pliable so extra care is needed when handling. There are 3 prongs. The 2 on either end have a stylised stem with leaf like protrusions at the sides and a single small flower at the curved tip. The central prong housed the most decoration with 2 stylised stems splitting out and an elaborate and intricate central area made up of more swirls. All of the silver at the top of the comb has engraved detail. A fabulous antique piece which may not be relevant for use today although would not look amiss on a flamenco dancer.
