50s Acetate Moulded Purse
A fantastic 1950s box style purse made of moulded acetate. The ribbed body has a faux tortoiseshell look and the lid an almost transparent amber colouring with floral design. Nice fan shaped brass clasp and 4 small bubble feet finishes the bag perfectly. Marked ELSA MFG CO ST LOUIS 3 MISSOURI to the base. In good condition with only minor scuff marks & scratches. Body measures 180mm at longest and 122mm at widest at base tapering to 140mm by 80mm at top. The octagonal lid measures 142mm at longest and 85mm at widest. The drop length from top of handles to bottom is 265mm. Weight 326gms.
